I'm hoping to make it up to fanny hoe this thursday, hopefully the ice will be alright. I plan on staying pretty close to shore.

I fished Lake Fanny Hooe this morning. 4 inches of ice. Caught 3 keepers and missed a couple. Unfortunately, the harbor is still wide open water.

I fished there today; 6 or 7 inches of ice, a few perch were caught but no action with splake.

was out fanny hooe friday til about 3:30 to dark, got one splake on the ice one to the hole and missed another one, decent action for a couple hours, but i guess it may vary depending where you fish

Where is a good spot to access the lake from? I know the resort on the west end is kind of cranky sometimes.

Bobber down, flag up, fish on!!!

the best spot for splake is if you drive past the fort wilkins site a little ways theres a little pulloff to the right where they built a new dock. you'd probably see old holes as ur walking out from there, we've ben pretty lucky every time we went out from there

Fished there monday, ice was plenty thick but fishing sucked. Maybe due to the warm temps. Marked a few fish on the flasher but no bites. Beautiful lake tho, my first time up there during the winter

Give it a shot and find out.

Swedish pimple with a minnow head for your jig rod and tip-ups with small walleye suckers or medium fatheads for the set lines should get you going in the right direction.

How's the fishing been up there. Thinking about heading up there tomorrow with my daughter. Taken her once so far and she loved it. Maybe not the sitting and jigging part but walking around outside and checking the tip ups for sure. Thought it might be fun to head that way for some splake and eyes if they been hitting decent. Thanks.
