Largest Pan Fish Stringer Rules (Main Tournament)
 
Tournament Rules (not biggest fish or Trout Rules See Below)

All anglers must have a valid Iowa Fishing License

All anglers must have a valid Iowa Trout Stamp if Participating in Trout Tournament

Check in starts at 7:00 am, No pre fishing is allowed.

This is a largest pan fish stringer contest. We are going to count the 10 largest fish from each team (5 per angler) this is based on weight, In the event of a tie; the first fish registered takes priority.

Fish that count in the main tournament are as follows:


Bluegill

Crappie

Perch

Rock bass

Green Sunfish

Red Ear Sunfish

Non Qualifying fish are as follows:


Carp

Northern

Bass

Catfish

Bull head

Walleye

White/yellow bass

**Trout

All fish entered must be brought to the weigh-in station immediately and be alive. Please bring a bag or bucket, as the tournament is live release. Dead or frozen fish are ineligible. Judges shall have the right to verify that fish were legally caught. The decision of the judge is final.

No lines are allowed in the water before 8 am anyone found with a hook or jig in the water before 8 am will be disqualified.

The Tournament will end at 3:00pm any fish caught after 3:00pm will not count.

Anglers are allowed 2 poles or 2 tip-ups or 1 pole and 1 tip-up, this is State law.

Anglers are encouraged to bring ice shack, heater, warm clothes, ice auger and fishing equipment.

Underwater cameras and Fish flashers (vexilars) are allowed

Anglers must have tag with their number and their Team number visible on them at all times during the tournament.

There is no driving any motorized vehicle on to the pond. There is walking access only.

All tournament fish must be in line or be at the weight station at 3:00pm. Any fish turned in after will not count.

No glass containers allowed on the pond, there will be refreshments in the shelter house as well as food available

All anglers and others hereby consent to the use of any names, photographs or likenesses of themselves to be used in the promotion of the NW Iowa Charity Ice Fishing contest, including but not limited to print, radio, television, or any other media.

All laws of the State of Iowa will be abided by. DNR Officials will be on site.
