Don't think he wants us to know. Might be giving away a hotspot to a "flat-lander" FUNEE! Seems Colton is in the dacks and I own a cabin in the dacks near to Santa Clara - Hmmm both North Country locations to me.
SIGH! I think northern and southern NY is getting ready to fight another civil war!
Northernnyice going to his pickerel honey hole
Hoping to crack 20" this year.
Only a 20"er to bad everyone hates flatlanders got a couple of places that grow them a little bigger
I found it! A somewhat "Official" description of the North Country -
you and me both
Glad I'm on the same page. I'm in Essex County
Oh, sorry then. Definitely north country my friend.Wikipedia's definition - extreme northern frontier. I like it. Bunch of extreme frontiersmen we are
First trip of the year today the first spot we went was a bust due to open water on the shoreline......after a half hour drive we were fishing at location two.....fish were active as soon as we got there and we had waves of fish come through as the day progressed catching a few keepers every hour.....really wish we had started off here at daylight as the bite was good and faded as it got colder throughout the day .....good to be back on the ice again finished with 19 crappie and 3 gills not a bad start (Image removed from quote.)Some of the nicer slabs(Image removed from quote.)
Bwahaha I think you guys are joking, not 100% sure, though. Just to clear things up I've never fished for pickerel in my life lol.
My biggest was 28" but we get them 24"-25" regularly
Nice. But I really never have fished for pickerel ever. We get walleyes bigger then that regularly up here!!!
I wish I had a good walleye lake down my way..... Oneida is the closest "good" walleye lake and thats a 3 and a half hour ride
That's unfortunate. What do you fish for mostly
Nice.I dont really pan fish. I will jig for perch though, we get some awfully big ones on the river as well. I like to jig for walleyes, as well. Mostly tip up fish for pike, tipup/jig for walleyes though. I like to musky fish too but during software season, obviously. The musky in my avatar was caught on topwater. No bigger thrill to me I'm fishing then having a 50" musky blow up a topwater. I'm going out in the morning to a pike spot I haven't got to fish yet, I'm stoked.
Can't really tell from the pic, looks like a barred musky?
