Very nice.  Folding floor....nice.
What's it weigh?  What material did you use for the cover? canvas? poly tarp?

Very nice. I have a similiar ontario style portable, much smaller than your creation. Do us a favor and take a pic of it folded up , ready for transport. Maybe consider windows to check on traps? and/or ventilation ifya put a heater in it?  Nice job Wyofarmer.

Very classic design. Back in Highschool I darkhouse speared out of one. The one thing I remembers about mine was how darn heavy it was...jeez it was like pulling a volkswagon.
So many fish, so little time.

Thanks everyone!! The ice hut weighs about 80 pounds give or take. I used a poly tarp for its durability and amazingly low weight. A little worried it might be loud in high winds. Not sure if it will stay flexible at 30 below. There is one window on what I call the passanger side, or the side with not door. Cut it with a four inch hole saw not my best idea. Here are some pictures all folded up and ready for transport.

Here are some pictures of one in action all lashed down facing the wind. We used a rubber for the cover on this one and it is pretty heavy. This time I added something to tie the lashing to instead of tying off to the skis. They actually ride pretty well on the skis unless the snow is really deep and powder.

Mine is very similar to yours Wyowind...

Weighs closer to 150# + or -...I've had it for 5 years and the elements have never been an issue...still the original tarp. I used conduit with UHMW attached for the skis...about a foot off the snow for easier travel.

BTW...how'd you attach the tarp to the ends?....I like it
