the largest golden shiners you can get, or a 8 or 9inch dead yellow perch

suckers work the best, but like said in vermont only ark shinners!!    Ive never used dead perch!!

I  have used live perch they work. I set  up for first light and don't want to spend my morning catching bait though. I'll start jigging for them if the pike bite is on hard. Havn't been there yet this yr. Last yr our group had 2 100 fish days, jig all you can on a day like that.
