Walleye?-Champlain at Lamoille
« on: Feb 27, 2011, 07:33 PM »
Went out today to fish off where the Lamoille comes into Lake champlain, the southern inlet.  Was amazed how shallow the water was, did a bunch of holes until i got to the dropoff, but nothing doing.  I was fishing 4' of water to 30+ jigging and with tipups.  I scattered the tipups a couple up high, and the remainder just off the bottom.  Nothing doing...jigged with bucktail and minnow no luck.  Anyone been seeing fish up that way, seems like a great setup.  I was hoping to find a walleye, I've never caught one.
