perchin is good
« on: Feb 23, 2011, 01:30 PM »

Caught this pale of slabbers all 10-12 inchers and then a half a pale of 8-9 inchers.  I started fishin bibits but they would only bite handlines out there.  Fishin 65 feet of water for 4 hours.  They would come through and hit it hard then shut off for a few minutes.  Great day though it was beautifal!!

Good fishin!!  Nugent 2012!

Nice work! I bet hauling em up 65 feet with a hand line was a challenge. I have 4 hand lines and I've never fished that way,I'd like to do it for the sake of change and fun. Good way to break up the deep warren jigging, noodle rod panfishing and the occasional tip up spread.

I always use bibits but they wouldnt bite em as soon as you drop the handlines down with eyes, and SNAP they would bite so hard theyd yank it out of your hand.

I usually hand-line it for the slabs...
The charm of fishing is that it is the pursuit of what is elusive but attainable,
a perpetual series of occasions for hope.
