im gonna try catching landlocked salmon, brook trout, and lakers, in northern maine this winter, anybody know of methods that will consistently produce good numbers of these fish. can the same methoid be used to catch more than one of these species at a single time. ive done well on brookies during the summer months, but am unsure as to ice fishing strategies, but i am learning quickly.

I hit lakers pretty well in Central Maine fishing in 26-34 feet of water either jigging or with my bait on traps set right off bottom.  This year I've done well so far with live smelt on traps.  I really haven't done much with brookies and salmon thru the ice myself.  But the good info says to fish the brookies shallow over gravel in 10 feet of water or less.  Some guys fish in 2 feet or less.  Salmon will ride high often just under the base of the ice.  Good luck on your multi-species adventure!
