Only fished it in the summer a few times and caught some bass and lost a few large pike, so I know they are in there.  Good luck and let us know how you do.
The closest flag up may be the one that is behind you !

If I can get out of work early enough I will try fairfield pond this afternoon but I think the person I rode with will want to stay until 4:30 like always.

I thought I would be able to forge through the snow at the north end of the lake but there was 3 feet of snow or more.  If you are going to fairfield pond wait until the snow melts or get ready to forge through deep snow.  I didn't even bother drilling a hole. Let me know how you do if you decide to give it a try.

There are perch, pike, sunnies, and walleye in fairfield.  Walleye have been getting caught regularly last couple of years. There was also a 15# pike taken out of there last week. Good luck fishing.

Well I found another spot.  I am not sure how you did on the ice but I couldn't get my minnow and/or mealworm down to the bottom quick enough to catch another fish.  It was awesome.

Yeah there is two places.  One is right by the milfoil sign and you have to park on the side of the road.  The other spot is by these willow trees I think and its just 500 feet or so from the beach. There are some snowmobile tracks by the milfoil sign.  Dont pull to far off the road you will get stuck.

If the weather cooperates, my son & I might be out there Saturday, unless he decides the kids derby in the islands is more appealing.
We've been to the pond a couple of times, and we've managed a few nice sized perch between 9 & 14". Never managed more than 5 keepers for a full day outing.
I will say that a heck of a lot of holes were drilled and moved around quite a bit. The perch don't seem to stay put, and I did have one 13" that was full of worms.
The ice is thick enough to drive on, and personally we'd be grateful if someone with a plow could clear a lane onto the ice so we could drive on it rather than all that walking.

Yeah that would be nice and if I had a plow I would have done it a few weeks ago.  I hit a school of perch one day for a few hours and I was getting hit after hit after hit.  I got 8 keepers and they were huge! I think if you get a big enough spread going and some people to find what depth they are and where you can hit em hard.  I am fairly new to the area and it would be cool to meet some ice fishing people.

You might have to buy some pike bait because the perch in that lake are way to big to use for pike in that lake.
