Big creek eye report
« on: Jan 10, 2005, 11:22 PM »
I found a fairly consistent eye pattern for Big creek since the snow came.  Here's the kicker, two 16 inch eyes I cleaned two nights ago had 7 INCH SHAD IN THEIR GUTS.  That's the clue for your presentation size.  The next is sweat your butt off drilling holes >:(  It's far from fast action, but I guess it's some action.  Most productive depths have been 22-25 feet for me.  Anyone else been out???

7inch shad....I dont like the sound of that.  Was hoping the shad would hold off a bit longer before coming back like that, but that would explain why the eye bite has been tough for that size class....that size of shad is just perfect for them...and where there is one there is a thousand.  Thanks for the report.
