Hopewell, Struble or Marsh
« on: Feb 04, 2011, 08:01 AM »
Trying to figure out where I am going to go on Sunday.  Taking 3 people out that have never ice fished before and I don't know which would be the best place to take them.

My choices are going to be: Hopewell, Marsh Creek or Struble...

Anyone got any idea as to where would be the best bet to go????

Not looking for anything specific...just a place to catch some fish.

Was on marsh yesterday with a couple of well seasoned anglers it was pretty slow an we caught dinks. Struble fishes good but you have to weed out dinks. sounds like hopewell to me out by swimmin pool 8 to 10 fow. good luck let me know how you did . :)  A/P

Thanks for the advice!  Is hopewell pretty good?  Unfortunately, my flasher hasn't come in yet, so we are going to fish without one...

Any advice on how far to go to get into 8-10 fow?  Thanks!

Minnows working for the panfish, or are we better off sticking with the spikes and waxies that I have?

Mostly gills to be caught ;) Your spikes/waxies would bait of choice. I very seldom ever catch anything on minnows ???
