That's amazing, heard of that before but never tried it. To scared I will wreck a perfectly good perch filet.
It's not a passion it's an obsession.

I've cleaned alot of fishand I could definately fillet a perch just as quick with an electric knife and not  have to pick through bones to eat it.

Hoky.....I challenge anyone to make the first 2 cuts in 5 seconds...let alone clean the entire fish in 10 seconds. What some people will do to elevate their video views never ceases to amaze me. >:(

granted 10 sec might be a bit of an over statement, but it is still a cool way to clean a fish. im not a big fan of the bones left behind but i thought the way this was done was kinda cool.

Well u can see the video is from lake Simcoe. If any of you have fished it you know why they clean their perch this way. They are more suited for pike bait than for consumption. They are soooo small on average that this is only way to get a meal out of them. ;D

did it with about 30 perch from a trip.yeah its really easy to do and is faster but eating it is more than enough trouble.the rib cage bones separate from the rest and you have to dig them all out

Wow! I stopped giving the perch away and started eating them my self using this method of cleaning (Just started). I am cautious with the bones reguardless, found this method to be a lot easier for me and maximizing the amount of meat. I will continue using this method and  I am quite pleased with the results. I used to hack the fillets and just throw them out in frustration.  To each his own. granted not 10 seconds.

i wondered how you could avoid the long rib bones. if you just cut the sections off should be alot easier
