This might be a real dumb question but is White Oak Pond the one in White Oak, PA?  I know it sounds dumb but I live close to White Oak and don't know where there's a pond to fish so I was thinking that maybe somewhere else int he state there's a White Oak pond.

i've been up there a few  times this year. for me straight off the boat launch to the left side of the lake was the best.  not the best fishing, but the best i found at that lake

Just got home from here tonight. ended up with 6 decent crappies and a small pile of gills. If i work at it I can usually make a half decent perch catch here but not today.

I fished it a couple weeks ago it has been hit really hard this year with guys keeping 100 plus X fish a price since they lifted the restrictions us drained the lake to repair the dam the deepest water we found was 7 ft and we only caught 3 catfish and a pickerel

The reason I am asking is I live real close by and fish all year round. Wife and i both. And i have found fish species where they weren't supposed to be more than once.

I was there a couple times early on. When the gills were going nuts. like shooting fish in a barrel. I didn't even use bait. got boring after the first half hour. nothing like sitting in a blasted puddle catching starving fish.

There are both bullheads and channel cats in there the state stock thousands of channel cats over the last 15 years or so

Oaks was stocked with walleye but not channel cats. And that was 5 or 6 years ago. Maybe there were some cats stocked in there but it wasn't by the pfbc.

look up White oaks pond in Wayne county.

Spider1 i know it sounds odd but what the pfbc says isnt exactly how its is. Take the RUDD or ROACH  for instance cant remember which is which, but i have caught them in alot of lakes around here but nobody will tell you they are there. And thats the same with alot of fish species. Look at the list for long pond it says they stock rainbow and brooks, yet Sunday at the derby i pull a 15 inch brown....

yeah, can never tell how a brown got stocked into a lake that is stocked with trout.

the point I made is that the pfbc hasn't been stocking thousands of channel cats in oaks.

i will also bet they havn't stocked rusty crayfish, Quagga mussel, round goby, or snakehead but BAM, we have them. Anyway, my point was i have caught many fish where they ARE NOT STOCKED. Just saying fish long enough and you'll find a fish where it isn't....

you're making a point about nothing an trolling for a bs argument. you asked if the catfish that came out of Oaks was a channel cat or bullhead. They were bullhead because there aren't any channel cats stocked in oaks. There might have been a couple in there from people dropping them in themselves but the state doesn't stock them. the other crap you mentioned are invasive species, I'm pretty sure the state isn't stocking them either.
