Try one of these...

Any one try Uncle Bucks crappie reel on your jiggig rod? I have one and love it for jigging perch. I use a rubber bobber stopper on the line so I can drop down to the same depth every time, nice when you have a lot of action.  :icefish:

I have a couple of em and the spool is so small that it coils the line really bad.  Unless I am using a heavy spoon, theyre terrible.  That being said, if your using heavy stuff, they work really well.

they also tend to collect more water on the spool and freeze up quicker...although not an issue if you fish inside a heated shanty ;)

Sorry to say but these reels are truly "Crappie"!!!  Want a good conventional reel???  Try the HT all metal reels ($30).... a QUALITY product !!
