My son was pumping gas in Dover yesterday and a fella came in for gas wearing a Shanty hat. My kid says " Nice hat! " and the guy is all smiles. The guy said he was coming back from the Moosehead trip and walked like he had a hurt leg or something like that. Well anyway he came home so proud that he met another shanty member. You need to know you made his day. He was pretty excited to tell me when I got home from Baker's snaggin smelts. Who was it?

When I was on my way to Moosehead last Friday I got on the interstate in Augusta and was behidn a vehicle with Mass plates and they had an Ice Shanty Malitia sticker on the back window.  I pulled out my 2011 Ice Shanty card and told my wife when we pass them hold it up in the window and give the thumbs up.  The guy in the other vehicle seemed pretty happy liek I was to see another Shanty member.  There everywhere.

Stupid me was thinking Dover, NH  :-\  Couldn't think of anyone else but Mainedog going through there after Moosehead.
