First perch of the year

Man what an awesome Day. My girlfriend a good buddy and myself went to Lake Manitoba for some perch action. Here are some of the pics when we got home. I forgot to take the digital but had the regular camera so the rest will be up in a while.

I hope other have the same luck as we did today.
I split the fish as i took half and gave buddy the rest. Caught 48 keepers and through away about 10

They're great eating...for those who claim walleye are the best eating freshwater fish, keep in mind that they are the largest member of the perch family. 

Way to go RM...good to hear about your sweetie getting in on the action  ;D

Nice pictures! :) Thats a nice bunch of yellow perch. I didnt think you eat yellow perch? I never really tryed them are they good?

They are fricking awesome. You need alot of them but they are as good or better than walleye in my mind.
Try them out next time to whoever has not tried them. You might get hooked like me.

Those perch are different looking. A few of them are really white! Those are unique perch for sure. good catch! hope you have a good meal!
