Ahhh shucks....look what happened.

All that snow (1-3 feet) melted prior to this freeze....now when I drilled yesterday there was (on this lake that I was at) 8 inches of hard ice then 6 inches of water/slush then another 9 inches of solid under the water. With last nights freeze there is probably only a couple of inches of water/slush layer, but after tonight it should be all frozen. Close to 2 feet on this lake. I love the rain in the middle of winter as long as it doesn't rain day and night for 2 weeks

I could drive this lake from one end to another with no slush. Fish on.

same here on stuart 4-5 inches of hard then 4-5 inches of slush then 12 inches of solid. soon to be about 2 feet of solid.
