Most of my crappie fishing here in Manitoba has been in deeper clear man made lakes.
How much do you guys change up your tactics when you start hitting the tea stained waters of the the shield lakes?
Do you tend to find them shallower and relating more to structure?

I'd stay deep during the day, looking for suspended fish, & move shallowerr as the sun gets low. Make sure to be set up well before dusk, though, cuz they can be pretty spooky in shallow, clear water.

Always wear clean underwear, cuz ya never know when the paramedics are gonna have to cut your pants off.
