Graph Fish Finders
« on: Jan 24, 2011, 05:16 PM »
I'm looking into the purchase of a graph style fish finder. This will be my first fish finder and I will only be using it for ice fishing.

How much of a difference is there between a b&w screen and a color screen?

Color is nicer however costs a bit more.  If you're looking for a basic unit to get going, any of the Eagle Cuda series will do just fine, keep it in a small tackle box with the battery, fabricate a small transducer holder for use on the ice.  My son has been using this setup for about 4 years now, no problems, summer it's on the boat, winter in the small box.
