fear the wind.  i don't care how cold it gets if there is wind it won't freeze.  if it can lock up one night and stay frozen the next day we will be all set.

yes, its thick but the wind forecast has jumped pretty dramatically.  Calm now, though.

UPDATE:  station is frozen out to indian island.  NO i did not go on the ice to check it but it is frozen

I just looked at it and it looked like it started to ice over near shore, unfortunatley it was just my computer freezing and all hope was lost when I saw the "Ice" start moving in the form of small waves. :'(

is the camera on the west shore, how far up, trying to get a better perspective. looks like the waves are moving towards shore. still cant believe it hasnt set up just a little

Looks frozen to me, hopefully it stays caught.  Camera is pointed at Fryes Leap from the west shore - close to the widest part of the lake.

Was up there on Sunday to check conditions plenty of ice near the shore of the station venture out about 300 yds or so 5" I did see someone with a portable off of Cheesley or Keesley point Wish I could of spoke to him regarding how much ice
