I run 80:1 in my Nils but Strikemaster only allows a 50:1  mix for warrenty, if you over warrenty go for it.

Amsoil Sabre is the one to use.
And you can mix it a little richer if you like.
Best you go to their website and read all about it.

Using it at 100/1 will not void any warranty.

Amsoil is the best, don't worry about the mix.

It covers every mix from 40:1 all the way to 100:1

I don't want to seem stupid or any thing, but I don't see the oil that i have listed on that page .The oil is new, I just bought it .It's a 8 oz bottle that simply reads 100 to 1  synthetic 2 cycle oil

If it has any red and blue in the label it's the older product and fits all applications at 100/1.
The more recent developments have allowed Amsoil products to be more application specific.

Thanks, Idahogator you are right it must have been an older bottle ,so it's 1.3 oz to 1 gallon of gas   does 1 oz of seafoam sound about right also. Thanks again for all your help.Mike

Seafoam is good and so is Sta-bil.
Been doin' my studies on/with Amsoil since well into last century, ha.
I 'd best say I'm not a representative nor associate, merely a lifetime dealer that has stayed in tune with
the growth and progress of helping machinery last well beyond the warranty.
I'll also say I'm hoping to see about 50 more winters, as the last 72 have been a good ride.

Oil
To operate your engine you will need to use a clean, high-quality, 2-cycle oil mixed with fuel at a ratio
of 40:1 (3.2 fl. oz. to 1 gallon of gas). DO NOT USE SYNTHETIC OIL. DO NOT use a fuel/oil mixture
leaner than 50:1 (2.6 fl. oz. to 1 gallon of gas).  Yhis is straight out of the SM manual, but you can disregard the do not use synthetic oil as they have since ok'ed the use of synthetic oil.

Seafoam recommends 2 oz per gal for 2 stroke use and 1 oz per gal for 4 strokes. The instructions are on the can.  ;)

Hank, something to consider with 2 cycle mix ratios is the often overlooked fact that one company was
founded on a few unrealistic goals, one of which was to BUILD a better lubricant. The molecular structure
of the oil in question, does not burn off and escape the engine during combustion, but instead, remains
and clings to the inner surfaces of the engine to not only lube, but to also prevent rust and corrosion. So,
by overly enriching the amount of Amsoil Sabre 2 cycle oil in your fuel, TOO MUCH will stick around with unpleasant results, like excessive smoking and maybe even dripping out the exhaust. But even that can
be cured with the proper application of yet another Amsoil product called Power Foam, which is good to use
at least once a year in any gasoline engine. For a while, it was refered to as "A tune-up in a can".

Stick a fork in me, as I'm done.
 But I'll recover.

PS  ice dawg, what do you say about Marine Sta-Bil?

PSS I've never used anything but 100/1 Amsoil 2 cycle mix in ALL my small engines with no other additives and even with the ethanol
laced fuel we have, have never had a problem with carb gunk or dissolved fuel lines.

I have never used marine stabil, but do use Mercury fuel stabilizer when my boat gets winterized. I use Amsoil Saber Professional 100:1 oil mixed at approximately 80:1 in every 2 cycle that I own and Seafoam in every engine that I own whether 2 stroke or 4 stroke.

So, lets see here, it appears I was preachin' to the choir, ice dawg.

I read, somewhere on another post here on IceShanty that, Marine Sta-Bil was the far superior product and was just throwing that out for consideration.

Nice to see we're on the same page, with the good lubricant.

We really need to fight the ethanol enhanced gas with some sort of additive to counter it's severe damaging qualities and  a good way is with real gas. Check the link below and work the site for your nearest place, which may not be in your state.

I use amsoil sabre in my SM lazer mag express at 80-1 and never had a problem and no smoke in the perm.  My dad runs his auger (different brand but does not matter) at 50-1 with conventional oil and you can see the oil residue on the wall where he has drilled. I have run my auger for two years this way.

MEMAGGIENCOMET, You could do your dad a favor by giving him a can of Amsoil Power Foam and clean that gunk and debris out. It will certainly run better. Just be sure to do it outdoors, ha.

He runs seafoam in his auger. His auger is older and I am sure the muffler is full of oil and this is why it does it.
