I've seen fish caught with a radio on.  As long as it's not loud you should be fine.

Wear a set of headphones so as not to disturb other fishermen in the area that may not have the same taste in music as you do.. they also won't be able to say you're spooking the fish.

It's almost impossible to hear air waves under water. Haven't you ever dove off a dock and while still underwater, looked up at your friends talking? I guess you didn't hear them say how much of a dummy they thought you were for jumping off a perfectly good dock!  ;)2

Kidding aside, the 2 mediums do not mix well. It's not the fish who will be complaining about the noise, just your fellow fishermen..  ::)

Tom Petty on the ipod almost got me arrested. Didn't hear the Conservation Officer asking me to open my tent. Volume stays to a decent level now. :-[

Let's not forget how sound travels over open water and ice!

Played at full blast (crank it to 11) you could prolly hear this 10 miles away.

Never to loud in the shack but in the boat that could be a different story, still not as loud as the wakeboarders tunes....

If you're playing music I like I don't care but if it's stuff I don't like and it's loud you might start getting hit in the face with old beer cans and dink bluegills.

I keep it very low on an AM station, basic news talk radio.  I agree, I can't stand sitting in the shack and some idiot is blasting there rap music with ultra bass pounding.  No respect I tell ya, and I am only 34 years old and I am this cranky aleady!

Run the stereo in the shack, just loud enough to hear. No effects on the fishing, and keeps a guy awake when the bite is slow.

I turn the radio on before I even drop a line in! Gotta have music and we always catch fish but we do keep it at a decent volume so its not annoying to others.

I was out 2 weeks ago and there was a crew that had some Garth Brooks just a blarin....it was was alright since I don't mind me some country but after a while it just started to not sound like music any more....
Sometimes I feel like I'm out there for the peace and quit and other times I feel like its time to hang out with friends be loud and just have a good time.
Over all I guess it doesn't bother me....to each their own and it's always good to see other people havin a good time
If you can keep your head while everyone around you is losing theirs; you may have misunderstood the situation.

Turning on the radio is part of the set up in all of my shacks.  It comes on well before any bait swims.  I have never heard anyone being disrespectful when it comes to volume, but I am sure it happens.  I have found that if the radio is on, your partners will be slightly more patient with set-up.  I have a bit of OCD and everything has to be organized and in place before I will fish.

He didn't sing, he was just the MC. But he had a certain way about how he would announce things on his show,  'Anna one, Anna two' hear we go... Take it away, Lennon Sisters!  ;D
