Craps at Macbride

Heard and also read on another site that they were getting them at night.   Pretty good sized fish too.  Also heard that early morning was producing.

i have fished mcbride a couple of times all day long each time, and hardly caught  thing, wonder if i just ain't fishing in the right place? where abouts do ya go?

A good place to start is with the crowd!

There's usually a couple groups under the power lines.

You need to get a map of the lakes new structures and brush piles.I don't care to fish the crowds,most just sit in 1 spot and wait for the fish.I look for brush in or near deep water and also like to fish the rock humps.You can pick up a nice laminated map with a lot of the gps cord and shows a lot of the brush piles too.You can pick one up at Five Season Bait and Tackle in Cedar Rapids for around $4.00.

How is the ice down on McBride?  Just wondering if it is thick enough after the warm weather.

How much ice is there at McBride I'm headed thast way tonight to fish the area.  Also is the park to the campground open where I can get down below to fish?  Thanks
