Glad you all are ok and were able to recover the gear. Very slick up here too, last night with just a powder dusting my 4WD Expedition was slidding at stops and spinning on take offs.

One hell of a ride boys!!! I was at the bottom of the hill waiting, all I heard was CRASH!

Glad everybody was okay, And the fellas still walked out on the ice to fish for a little while.

That just sucks you get all ready and are almost there when this sort of thing happens, you must have been too prepared and the fish were too hungy, kidding. That really sucks and I hope your day has gotten better, we can all learn a lesson from this, good thing it came out with no one hurt.

Ooops....sorry guys for ruining the morning. Did not realize that curve was that sharp + the downhill grade, as soon as I tapped the brakes, all h%$^ broke loose!! Even with 4wd on, you are toast when you hit packed ice under the snow. Truck is done for while....limped home at 20 mph as there is some definite alignment, suspension and steering issues. Insurance claim has been filed, so on Monday I will take it in and get a rental. I just hope they get it put back together like it was before this morning! I am praying the frame is not bent as I don't want them to total it out. Body shop repairs add up in a hurry and I know it needs a new right mirror, 2 new running boards, 2 new tire rims, 1 new tire, new bumper, new bumper cover, new headlight, new condensor, new cooler, new grill, and new paint job down the right side. Add in whatever the suspension, alignment, steering issue is and it will be pricey! That is why we pay through the nose for insurance!

Broke several rod tips, one rod handle, lost several lures in the thicket, and all three vex's ended up in a pile along with a 30 lb anchor. Hope they still work!?!?! Several buckets went over the side of the truck, both jetsleds were on their side, rods were hanging from tree branches, and the ice gator was sticking straight up in the bed of the truck. The only thing that seemed to weather the wreck was the mobile home!

All I can say that it was an interesting morning. It ended up being an expensive fishing trip but at least we're alright.

I'm just glad that we were able to stand back and have a laugh considering what we just went through. It won't be long before your truck is back on the road again heading towards our next fishing destination. So where we going tomorrow?

I'm glad everyone is fine, first off. Secondly, though, it looks like you found a really great spot to fish if you have to try and hide the truck that well.

Everyone got an extra laugh out of that for good measure. Not my day.

Waxworm,...........You wasn't able to drive that out of there did you? Looks like it might take a tow truck to get that out. All I can say is you guys are some die hard fishermen.
