I was at work, but I thought a lot about fishing.... I wish I had Friday off so I could get out then. The barometric pressure is going to be very low, and the big pike should be active.  What section of Quaddick were you fishing, lower, middle or stump?

The only pike I've caught there were to the right of the boat launch (if facing the island), not too far, near a point and a feeder stream (but watch for sketchy ice) and in the stump pond section.

It varies. The sections I've fished had deeper channels next to coves that flattened between 5-1 ft. I believe more north you go, the more shallow it gets.

The lake seems to be around 3 feet low this winter. Stump is pretty shallow even when the water is up to normal level.
We fished the middle pond yesterday south of the boat launch, it was pretty slow. Our group iced 5 pickerel and one 25" pike. Not very productive for 19 traps. better than the skunk though. Pike caught in about four feet of water.
