deer park pond

took a hike to see what this place looks like--walked across the lake --solid ice all the way--looks really nice but getting the gear to the water seems to be a challenge--saw some holes had been drilled near the dam end --is it worth the effort to fish here-- i need a new place to try thanks

Deer Park is hit, or miss.

I used to fish it regularly.  There are some big fish in it, but they are hard to find.

I'd say that if you had a sonar and some good equipment, it might be what you are
looking for.  I wouldn't ice fish it alone though.

They do have some pretty good sized gills and perch in it, but it's a lot of work.

I would probably hit Hopatcong State Park before I would attempt Deer Park.

That's just me.  I'm a little on the lazy side.

See previous post from Bassmaster24 on Deer Park Pond for some additional info. Glad to hear there is some good ice, I may head out there this week.
