Newark Pond
« on: Jan 01, 2011, 03:56 PM »
Having heard today was the first day Newark Pond would be open to ice fishing, We headed up to it to go give it a try. Saw quite a few cars parked and got reports of good fishing so we headed onto the ice, drilled two holes and proceeded to catch our limit of perch in 2 to 2 and 1/2 hours. Size was not great, biggest was maybe 9 inches, if that but if your looking for nonstop action, that's the place to be. Everyone on that pond went home with a limit by the looks of it.

I stopped by there but was on my way elsewhere and couldn't fish.
I'll give it a try another time.
