Newbie on board
« on: Dec 30, 2010, 11:51 AM »
First time back out on the hard water since I was in shortpants.

Spent the end of this fall gearing up with all the stuff I need. Taking my five tip-ups and two jigging poles to Hyde Lake tomorrow with a good buddy. Hopefully I will remember how to run everything AND the fish will be biting. Looks to be like a very warm day, so I hope we are not going to be fishing in the rain. Nice site here and plan on gleaning as much as I can off the ol' timers reading all the posts I can. Might even post a a few pictures myself if I am lucky.

See you all around...praying for the return of some nice cold weather!!!

Retired from the Army and 10th Mountain Division, but lucky enough to still be employed by the Army. Weekends are what I live for and fishing all year round. Been a while since I fshed the hard water, but if I get my way I will be a regular out on one Lake or another...

Thanks for the welcome!

I'm new here too.  In fact I can't even post a picture.  lol.   I got back into the ice fishing last year.  Retired a few years ago and was cleaning out the basement when I came across the "stuff".  Needless to say, the fire rekindled.  I'm up in Chenango Co.  I dont even know the lakes up here.  However, I have fished a few during the warm months with the grandkids.   So, I'll try lakes like Balsum pond and Chenango Lake.  and see what shakes out.   BTW,  is there a restriction on posting?  I cant find any links to do so.  thanks Geo.
