Loaded up today

Got into a mess of crappies today in an old pit, caught about 40 total, either under 8" or 11-14"

Just curious.  What rod(s) were you using and how did you like it(them)?
My dream is to get into a few of those bad girls and can just see the old rods

Nice mess of fish there....  I miss pit fishing, my grandfather used to run a sand pit.  I didn't know how good I had it back then...

Most of them came on a 'Bro" series 32" light action and a forage minnow spoon with a chain dropper and gulp minnows.Was the first time I used the rod and it worked great, largest fish of the day was a 16" LM.

Sweet!  Good to hear you liked the rod.
Really like the Bros Series rods and combos.
Have several in different lengths/actions.
Just need to get into some nice crappies like you found.

Bruiser, the ice is fantastic down here. Went out yesterday and had 8" of clear ice and no snow.
