Whats your Ducer on?

I know flashers are always debated on here and everyone recommends them but the ones who do have one (any make shape or style)  which do you prefer to hold your transducer cord

I use the float that came with my vex. It works so why mess with it.

b) arm

Love it, so easy to position it to where the fish wont get tangled when reeling them in. Lot less hassle than having a giant bobber (vex float) floating around in your hole.

A float on my Vex and the arm on my Marcum.
It seems to go from zero to hero all some have to do is lie.

I use an arm as its standard on a Marcum. I like the arm for hole hopping better as I feel it stabilizes it better than a float does.

My vote is for the float - IMO Vexilar got that right. It's much easier get the transducer out of the hole when you need to.

Would it be too hard on the thing to just hang the transducer wire in the hole so it runs right along the side of it and then the ducer itself hangs just below the ice so that it's not touching it? I'm thinking this would keep it as out of the way as possible. I've got the ICE35, so no arm.

Thats what I do with my LX-5, I always hated the floats on the Vex always moving around in the hole. Rare I get a tangle in it this way now and way to far away from me to pull it without getting up.
