started my 2010/2011 ice season today!

I started my new ice season this am on Dillenback Bay. 7" of good ice, cloudy water. I setup my new hub Igloo shanty started my new Portable  Buddy heated and had some warm ice fishing for a  change. Never has a pop up before this year, gota love it.
   Fish not too avtive for me  4 perch 8 to 9" not bad, 3 smallish Bluegills 3 to 4", 1 Northern 14", hooked on tip of nose with Bluegill jig, blast on jigging rod! 1 White perch 6" I returned all to the lake. I had an appointment for truck repair so had to leave, buy none the less had a great time. Where to go tomorrow?

I love catching Northerns on a jig stick!  Lots of fun!  My goal this year is to take them off the hook, always have the husband do that.  I know I can do it!

i caught a northern on an old wooden handline that hit a perch eye up there the other day, that was pretty fun.
