License info
« on: Dec 26, 2010, 07:13 AM »
My oldest son turned 16 last June and I need to get him a license.  It would be an out of state license since he lives in RI with his mom. We didn't really need to get him one after he turned 16, cause he prefers salt water to fresh off the boat. We got him a license from RI for that.  He does not have a drivers license, so I need to know what he needs to prove who he is. Anyone know??? I keep meaning to call the DEP, but keep forgetting. I kinda want to get this done so we can head out New Years day.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

For a fishing only licence, I don't think you need to "prove" he is 16 just buy him the nonresident fishing licence if you buy at a retailer (maybe bring his birth certificate). on line he has to have a drivers licence or a social security card to setup an account.. good luck!...

It would be much cheaper, but I'm not sure if it would be allowed.
