Ya Moose that p-line is the  :o I have been using Fire line and for a braid it is great! If I could find good p-line that would be what I used. I would run no more then 8 lb test for trout ,eyes, and such...

I spool up tip ups with good old 25lb. black dacron for mild weather, then tie on a #8 swivel and mono leader of at least 3' of the test you want.... 2-4lb. for perch and 8-14lb. for wallies. If it's real cold run some plastic coated tip up line and tie on leader to it.

Dacron for tipups with fluorocarbon leaders.

Micro ice for jigging with fluorocarbon leaders again.

I've spent enough time hole hopping in cold weather enough to see the difference between an ice line and a regular line.  So I will always opt to use an ice line when i can.  I have a variety of lines becuase sometimes I'm looking for the feel of the line with very small miniscule differences.

Going to SEAGUAR 100% fluorocarbon, I believe that they were the first to come out with true 100% fluorocarbon line.
