i have an old book from the 1930's about laketrout. they were commercially fished in the great lakes second only to coastal salmon at that time. the book said they regularly caught fish over 100 pounds! it also said that if given the chance they can reach 150 pounds!! now just imagine if we released every large laker out of the gorge, some day we would be pulling 100 pounders through the ice!!! probably in our life time.  by the way, they dont have lakers that big in the great lakes any more! over harvesting the big boys is a bad idea. imo
