Takes a bit to freeze solid. I have fished there for years, both open and hardwater. Just like anywhere else, gotta find the fish. Nice sized gills, perch and crappie. Usually my go to spot if the weather is too bad to drive to chautauqua or silver, or if I have my kids since its only a 30 min drive. I'll definitely be out there a few times this year.
definitly an excelent lake in the soft water season, i personaly have trouble getting into the fish on the ice. gona try harder this winter i thought al the perch where small untill i got into some nice 12"r's out of the boat. the walleys, pike, crappies, and gills have always been good sized.need help finding good places and access point i usually fish around the island east of the big bridge not much luck last year.
that is one lake i always forget about. its a close ride for me but end up at silver and honeoye will deff try it this year/..how deep is the water off the public launch
i stopped fishing there because their is a guy named bigwillie that ever time i drill a hole he runs over too it and sticks his head down the hole .
