Anyone seen if any of the setbacks on the conn river are locked up? I'm guessing springfield should be just about fishable. . .

I'm going to try to hit drews this weekend- It's been locked up since Tuesday. Not sure if I'm going to have the time to get out though. Let us know how the ice is if you make it out

Bobbi - I went by Springfield today and all locked up. I think will be fishable by Sun.
I did not have a pick to check it..

hi just joined up yesterday, nice site, lots of info. i was on reeds two days ago just to check, had about 2 1/2" but that was edge ice it looked better out a ways but i didn't have time to mess around and it's been makin ice. 5 below this morning yahoooo!!! i'm so going this weekend. drews is a good bet might need a board. going to try to check drews today after a doctors appt.

drove by vernon setbacks today they were locked up but the edges looked thin, even they main river was frozen over.
Ive been working at the marina in Brattleboro, the setbacks have been frozen over for a week and the west river flowing in is even frozen over.

Back corner stiffing up @ spfld. Will check local set backs starting on mon. 1 more day for the smoke pole and then out with the jig stick ! Venie and fresh pan fish....life is good ! Let ya know how things are by mid week. River was skimmed over yesterday but opened up now.

Went from 3+ inches to a small floating section at my house since Saturday afternoon. Gotta love Vermont weather!

Drove by Drews Sunday. Walked out to check ice. Three guys fishing the small side, said they caught some bass. The outside ice seemed ok but the shore was not good. Need a board and definatly a buddy with rope before checking any further out there. I think with the forcast saying it's going to get really cold starting tonight we might be ok for the upcoming weekend, at least based on what I saw sunday

I drove by on the thru way today the river is still cut in pretty good, but it looked tight and there was a guy walking out the little shute from the parking lot, did not see a big hole when I came back thru!I bet it will be good to go by the week end.

fingers in hinsdale is froze tight. people been hammering pike there. retreat meadows has 2-4 in of good ice. fished there today without a flag
