Anyone been out yet ? I heard that there was good ice at cottonbach but haven't been able to check it out yet. ?

Spoke with a guy today and he says there is 3'' of ice at cottonback. Plenty enough to start slayin' eyes and what ever else the Menominee River can throw at ya !

Was out at Shakey Lakes today. No one on the ice, but walked out a ways and the ice seemed good. Hopefully the snow isn't too wet and heavy tomorrow. (they are saying up to 15 inches now) There were some portable shacks on Lake Mary, but not sure how they did. Plan on getting out Sunday or Monday to actually fish

Got out today started my season off good with 2 30"s and a 28" hopefully getting the good ol' stabin cabin out this next weekend

two nice eyes and a 31" northern all between 200-400 today in the storm.. all on tipups w suckers

Don't think Bass Lake will be too good this year. They drained it again and it looks about four feet lower than last year. Was out on deep lake today for a few hours, not much going on thou. Gonna try it again tomorrow. Hopefully get into some nice pike !

I've only seen the bay off menominee,but hope you find enough ice out there.Let us know how it goes.Good luck.

Hit Ingalls Pond yesterday, fished for a few hours with nothing. Good ice, but alot of water on top of the ice. Real messy. Hopefully we get some cold weather to tighten up that slush ! Anyone tried the Menominee River down by the powerdam yet ?

Went by the dam tonight hardly any ice the water seems pretty high it was dark when I went by so I didn't get a really good look but I'd wait awhile before I would go on it.

No clue haven't been out since last thursday I think is when I went out. Going to try and get out there tomorrow afternoon after I get some wood cut for ma and dad. Probably going to jack it up and get enough blocks under there to be safe for this nasty weather that's suppose to hit, if you want I can get your shack up higher on blocks just let me know sometime tomorrow.

Got a few nice pike on Bass Lake today. Nothing huge, but all keepers.

Anyone ever fish out from the 18th Avenue boat launch behind the Cemetery in Menominee. I've heard its been good for big pike and walleye.

in the summer below the damn near there a lot of carp in the pool behind the damn other then that some bass, never ice fished there thou.

I hear 6th street slip has walleyes and pan fish, along with by the menekaunee docks panfish.... cot n boc has been slowing up.

I hear the 6th street slip is good, but i've never made it down there yet. Let me know how you do. There is a small turny at Shakey Lakes this Saturday, hopefully the fishing is good out there this weekend.

If you are fishing out at Shakey Lakes (anywhere else too I guess), make sure you have your name and full address on all four sides of your permanent shacks. Letters have to be legible and at least 2inches in length. DNR was out the other day checking and writing tickets.....they will probably be out during the derby too.....Just a friendly heads up !
