Commando Modifications
« on: Nov 26, 2010, 03:59 PM »
A couple of members asked for some pics so here goes.

First the risers. 1/2" emt. They slip into 3/4" emt U-Bolted to the tub

Next to resolve the problem with the flaps blowing in when it's windy. This is Spoonfeeder's idea. A really good solution too.

I added some extra velcro straps as well...just for the heck of it.

Did you use anything to bend the EMT; did you have any problems with kinking at bend. Is there any problems with the EMT  coming out of female receptor on uneven surface. How much of a pain in the neck is it to insert the conduit when you are putting runners back on at end of day.
Happy holidays. GV

Well, being an electrician helps I guess. Yes you'd need a 1/2 " emt bender.

The runners have never come out of their socket and I've hauled it up and down banks, over rocks etc, with no problems so far.

As for installing and removing the runners, it takes about 2 seconds.

Oh Boy, I can see a new tool in my future.
It looks like you have small bends at the end help retain EMT in 3/4 female retainer???
Thanks for the quick response.  Have a great season!!!

Actually I splayed them out a few degrees for stability. The sides of the tub angle inward so I over compensated a bit. The only times I don't like them is in very wet slushy snow. It pulls easier without them in those conditions.

Hey bud! Good to see you here.
I  was doing the same thing this morning. I'm getting all my stuff in it to organize some storage.
