I don't think they allow ice fishing on Wilmore.

A buddy of mine keeps asking me about icefishing Wilmore, and I tell him I dont know.  Any info would be appreciated. As far as slabs, Wilmore has a 9" regulation on crappies.  My experience there showed stunted growth at 8 3/4, as most regulated lakes seem to be home to after a period of time.

HaHa way to read closely... I seem to be finding contradictory information on the subject whether it is allowed or not.

Thanks for the info on Wilmore.  I was thinking of checking out some new territory this year but guess that one's out.  Does anyone know if ice fishing is allowed on Beaverdale reservoir?  I've heard not and guesing from this would assume the same.

Nope, same regs apply to Beaverdale.  I would love to get on this lake in the winter.

Ice fishing at Wilmore, Hinkston Run and Quemahonning where all prohibited when the CSA bought them to "expand recreational opportunities" Wilmore used to be one of the best ice fishing lakes around and its only 10 minutes from my house. I'm still a little bitter about it if you can't tell.

Can you fish Beaverdale at all?  Beaverdam, Beaverdale, Beaver Run.  How can you keep them all straight?

You can't ice fish Beaverdale, or Ebensburg Res. for that matter. Unfortunately, most of the lakes in central to southern Cambria county are off limits for ice fishing. The exception is Lake Rowena(Ebensburg). Good trout lake, but very small, not much else there to catch, but many times it has good ice before the larger lakes like Glendale, which is in northern Cambria county.  Beaverdale would be brutal to ice fish even if you could, its windy and cold up on that mountain! The stunted perch in there would drive you crazy too.
