Today its close to 50 an pouring out. My guess is we will have safe ice in 10 days.
Dec 11 on smaller ponds and hoping to fish Keelers by week between Christmas and
New years. I went by Orange reservoir drinking water for barre and was frozen over
on 11/27. lakes will catch quick once the weather breaks tomorrow...

TRT you fish keeler's? I'm putting my shack out there again this year. A little grey 4x6... Hopefully the perch are even hotter than last year!

a perpetual series of occasions for hope.

Keeler, NEK, 90% of time targeting trout and salmon. I have avoided Champlain
for the last 5 years the lamprey had really hammered that fishery but will
be back it this winter. I have fished Keelers ave once a year the last couple of
years with moderate success. 5-7 years ago we did real well on Keelers.

Those low temps are good news, but the reports of you guys not on the ice yet is grim! We're 300+ miles south, lets get this show on the road! Looking forward to fishing Carmi with my buddy Bugchazer this year, might be the closest ice at this rate.

It's all natural cycles.  People just can't comprehend that things change.  Nothing stays the same forever.  Ask the dinosaures.
