Gills in NE WI
« on: Nov 02, 2010, 02:04 PM »
So I am looking for a decent bluegill / panfish lake in NE WI. I dont want to intrude on anyones "spot" but just looking for a little gill action this winter! Any kind of advice would be greatly appreciated. I have been trying this little lake near gillette the last 2 years or so but it does not seem like there is any action worth talking about! Thanks Again

Have you tried Shawano lake or White Clay?  Machickanee use to be pretty decent for gills and crappie

I catch tons of gills and crappie at the Machickanee.  12' of water about 50 yards off the rock wall just past the damn.

White Clay?  Really?  I have never ice fished it primarily because it has always proved a baron waste of water for me during the summer months.  Pretty little lake but.. really?  I may have to try it on the ice!
