Who's stocking shelves with ice gear so far?

Well I was just in Crappy Tire today and noticed the ice gear going up on the shelves, still mostly empty but a few things caught my eye .
Bought some More-slidas, Macho minnows and Lindy darters.

Anybody else finding stores gearing up for the ice season?

I checked my local Canadian tire with no such luck. I do a lot of shopping at Quinte Outdoor Sports in Belleville, they usually have a good selection. It will be a week or two befor I can get down there

Lebarons in Markham have stuff out, I spoke with a workie from BPro, their stuff is being put on the shelf too.

in kingston walmart has a handful of stuff, but junk. talked to canadian tire guy in the west end and he said a couple weeks. other than that it's a 45 min drive to Gander mountain in watertown. they have quite a bit of stuff out.

icejunky when you come to Belleville check out "pro Tackle" go north on 37 hwy. go over the railroad 1st set of lights turn right then a quick right again they are on the left.stuff being set up daily they must have 7-8 frabill's on display now,

The Walmart in Cornwall has their rods, jigging raps, Trilene cold weather, and an assortment of gloves and augers, and a handful of jigs.

Not a really good selection in any category, but they have a wide range of product types out, so I suspect this is their full display.

for those who dont live in Belleville but are planning a trip to Quinte outdoor sports, i called them today and the ice Gear should all be out by the end of next week. It is arriving daily

I was just at Anglers Outfitters just west of Woodstock on Hwy#2 & they have most of their icefishing out. Still a few things to arrive.

Our Wmart has had their ice stuff out for at least 3 weeks now. Its our CT that drags its heels every year, they normally dont have the gear out untill mid Jan if not later

I see the ice fishing gear is hitting the shelves @ Canadian Tire here in Thunder Bay had a boo @ some of the power augers.

We just got about 4cm of snow on Sunday and a little today looks like it is here to stay heading up to camp in Armstrong this weekend probably do a little scouting/bird hunting.

I was just at Bass Pro, felt like Christmas, all the stuff was out, banged up the credit card pretty good

I hit the Kingston Canadian tire again last night, they had the area roped off, still under 10% of the gear even visible in boxes. Talked to my buddy who manages the department and he said they where getting slim to no new ice gear

well ive been working in kingston all week and tonight i stopped in a princess auto and was suprised that they actually sell some ice gear.

they had 2 clam expeditions(199), they sell blue rod lockers that are damn near identical to the ht ones(19 99)
they actually had a power auger(dont remember the name but it was 499 and i beleive it came with the tripod/stand) and a mora hand auger(either 59 or 69 cant remember)

they also had a few different rod combos, scoops and replacement auger blades

im going to stop into my hamilton PA and see what they have to offer(if anything lol) ice fishing wise

they also had their mr heaters out on display as well as the bulk propane filters if anyone is looking for one

your missing out man, youd be amazed at what you will find there at great prices. its hit or miss but definately can get some great deals. i just got my dog a harness from there for 9.99, exact same one sold at petsmart for 59.99.

it is not only auto related stuff they sell. they actually had a few quantum softwater combos as well.

LeBarons in Ottawa have their goods out...picked up a few items....always the best prices here, unless on sale somewhere else...I buy 90% of soft and hardwater stuff at LB.

Also was at Princess Auto in Ottawa....and they carry some items as noted....just watch the pricing...if its on sale, you wont beat their pricing....but their regular pricing is higher than other places....that said, its a great store.....just get the deals...

I hit three spots in belleville today, all had little to no tackle available.

1) Canadian tire, they had a small selection out, nowhere near there full selection, I still managed to buy a few things

2) Quinte outdoor sports, great selection of new clam gear, but the tackle selection was brutal (new rod locker, and electonics case was available)

3) Pro Tackle, this place has only been open 5 months, he had a decent selection of Frabill shelters and the new frabill suit on display. He said it will be another week or two befor he gets his tackle. On December 10th he is having an open house, and plans to show off his ice gear then (im told there will be draws and other goodies)

I was at Pro Tackle in Belleville again today, they some gear out but no tackle, give it another week

For those in the Peterborough area, I was also in Bridgenorth sports, they have limited selection but should have more in a week or so
