Thanks for the welcomes. I just was out in the shed looking at the repairs I need to make to my flipover before the season starts. I don't want to buy a new tub so I'm thinking of buying some plastic and fixing it to get a couple more seasons out of it.  I have cracks on each of the built in runners on the bottom of it. It's a fishtrap. When you are pulling it the cracks are in the very front where the curve is.
I'll work on posting some pics tonight of the damage and see if anyone has any ideas on how they would repair.  Until then I'm going to check out the site

welcome to the shanty and if you have a harbor freight near you they sell a plastic welding (I call it soldering ) kit there.  buddy bought an old camando at a yard sale and we fixed all the holes in it with the kit. takes a little practice and patience, I.E. let the iron do the work dont push. Good luck and tight lines t ya

Welcome to the site. I'm sure there is someone (or many) on here that has had the same issue. This is the place to come for answers to your questions.

I just looked at harbor freight's site, did you use the 80 watt one that was only $14.99?

Welcome to the shanty.

If you go to the "community" page twords the bottom there is a section called "Ice Shack Tips" May want to post your question there or dig around some and you can probably find someone who has had the same problem.

I caught a fish once!
