Strikemaster Solo Lazer Pro or Lazer 224

I currently have the Strikemaster Lazer 224 (2HP Tecumseh motor), new 2 years ago.  I am feeling the need to buy a Solo Lazer Pro for some reason....which auger would you rather have?  I love the Lazer 224, fastest auger I have used yet, and very dependable.  There's just something about that new Solo model....I can't take my eyes off of it.  I am sticking with Strikemaster too....

Or.....would I be able to use the 224 drill assembly on the solo power head?

Im very happy with my Solo. I havent used a 224 much, but they are nice. Yes your 224 bit will work on a solo powerhead.

I think you already have a very good auger, if it ain't broke don't fix it. As Stumper said the 224 drill will bolt right up to the Solo powerhead.

i love my electric auger (strikemaster 2000) have had it for 5 yrs now. Thining of upgrading to the icegator li-ion this year!!!

I have a Solo, and my buddy runs the 224.  they are both awesome augers.  I personally see no reason to upgrade,  but if you do, you won't regret it.  When we run side by side I am just a little quicker through the ice than him, but I'm sure that just has to do we me having new blades.

I'll keep my 224.  I don't see many around, it's one hell of an auger.  I just saw a good deal on a slightly used Solo, and watched a few videos on it.  I got all excited and just wanted something new I guess.  Thanks for the response.
