pikeking-I am working all weekend but I will post some pics on Monday. Or if my husband gets a chance he can take some this weekend and I'll get them on here. I'm at work now, he is probably sleeping in the Grand Lodge tonight, lol. We just got it, and are so excited to use it this winter it seems like the cold weather can't come quick enough for us.

back in april picked up some end of the season deals on some glow jigs, jiggin raps, and line. found a great deal on a hand auger at a garage sale this summer, and just picked up some fish lights (similar to the crappie candle) at BPS.

i picked up some lindy darters...trying them for the first time...do they work? i dont know but i will find out. i am looking for a new hut but still a couple more months to go and i will be getting a lot more for ice fishing this year.

My shipment of Hali jigs arrived and the new Ice Shanty Militia flag was in a package on the table when I came home from work earlier! An auger and Clam Pro flip will put an end to my ice spending this season...

glow , jigging raps from fish usa and jigs from jammin jigs came today . the jigs from jammin jigs look awsome i cant wait to use them , they even sent 6 free to try.

getting all the small stuff - jigs, line, leader, hooks, tipups, etc.

Wife overheard me making a deal for tipups via craigslist last nite.... made me feel like I was cheatin er sumthin...

(got 9 heavy duty HT tips - $60 - now I have a permanent Pike set...)

I hit the mother load at a tag sale this weekend. I got a whole set of cast iron pans for 25 bucks. All set now.

I love the Lindy Darter. In fact they impressed me so much last season that I just put in an order for 13 more! This year they introduced a couple new colors and a larger size (2 3/4"). I can't wait to have some ice to use them on. Not sure what you fish for but so far I've caught lake trout, perch, pike, and a ton of walleye on them. Here is a pic of my personal best walleye caught on a 1 3/4 Red Glow Lindy Darter.

I pre-ordered my Nils 6" hand auger from redrockstore.com, can't wait to get that in. Started ice fishing 2 years ago. I've always loved open water fishing, and got tired of cabin fever in the winter so I took up ice fishing. Best decision I've ever made! lol.

Anyways, since I was just starting out, I've been using a 6" mora hand auger, and it is the worst. can't wait to see what this Nils can do.

This is my first season since 1986 so started from scratch with a pole, a marmish, a chisle, bunch of jigs, a cheap camera from cabelas and a lowrance x67c ice machine. Still want to get a portable and a hand auger before ice-up...

I just bought an 8 inch Jiffy Ice auger (used about 10 times) and a bucket stuffed full of tip ups, scooper's, line and other accessories for $100 I'm gettin pumped

Did you try new blades on your Mora auger? I have an 7" and love it, never a problem. Dull blades can make a nice auger drill like garbage.

I decided to buy an x67c ice machine...i ordered it two Fridays ago and received it the following Tuesday. Every since i got it in the mail, i have done nothing but think about ice fishing...man i cant wait till things start to freeze up, this itch is killing me!!!
