Anyone interested in a day trip to Louise?

Like you I am poor and I know whet it is like to walk out on Louise. I do a lot of day trips there. seems the good fishing is a few hrs before and after sunrise. that was great erlyer in the year when the sun did not rise till 10 or 11 but since the sun rises at 6 now the best fishing is from 4 to 8 in the morning that is why I have been going up after work friday and staying in the shanty. I Will be walking out this Friday also and will give you a call

Sounds good dude I'll try and save you a spot.  If I'm alone your more than welcome to bunk in my Q6 with me and my four legged snow machine.

Well no monsters on this trip.  I managed 3 small lakers in the low 20" range and one whitefish.  It was really nice meeting Iced and Salmonman hopefully we can do that again sometime.  By the way that third laker I caught was caught on that minnow we pulled out of that lakers stomach.  Couldn't ask for better weather although I think I got a little sun poisoning and got sick.  It was a little strange fishing in a T-shirt and still being able to see your breath and have ice forming on your line.  Anyhow hope everyone else had a good weakend and see you on the ice.

Well the solunar forecast said it wasn't going to be very great. I am trying to see how accurate it is. Looks crappy for next weekend too. Sunday it is supposed to be better but not great. Spring is awesome out there. Were there a lot of people hauling freight?

The snow is great for hauling right now. we did great on the fishing between 10 of us we probably caught 30 burbot. most were jigged up. The spawn is past its prime but not done yet. Lots of folks in larsen bay like it was packed. saw a few on susitna as well. lots of freight being hauled all day. If you got a air cooled machine you are fine. The main trail is a rock. Tons of ice and Zero overflow any where we went.Get up there man and get some fish while you still can.
