Deep Creek Reservoir /Devils Creek Reservoir - SE Idaho

went up sunday the 14th for about 4 hours during the afternoon, only got 1 small rainbow, about 2' of ice but shore is starting to get soft

I am wondering the same thing . I won't drive down there untill I hear there is safe ice . It has been to warm to make ice the last week . Thursday I am headed down to Crystle Springs for some open water fishing . One of my friends has been doing well there . In a about a week I will head for Mackay or Island Park Res. Curt G.

Went by Devils Creek today.  It was raining and the ice was real gray with about 1-2" of water on top of it.  RD

went to walcot 12-14-10 rain GET OUT YOUR CLEATS pure ice no snow you can not even stand on the ice without falling i forgot mine every sled should have cleats and a roll of duct tape as mandatory items in your gear. I found flat thin lava rocks and used my tape to put the rocks on my boots this saved the day it worked good but cleats are better no dought.fishing was not good at all not even a bite but sat. 2 friends caught their limits 2 to 7 pounders. if it gets cold like they say it will be good ice iffy today 2- 4 inches. with the rain and no Snow cleats are a must(or ice skates). good luck ;D

I was at Walcott last wed. (12-8).  There was 6" of ice, had a couple of hits, some guys next to us caught three.  Plan on going again this weekend.  Hope the ice gets better.  We have had 2 weeks of temps in the 40's.  snowing now.  hopefully the ice will thicken back up.

A guy on another forum posted he fished Devils Creek on the 13 and caught 18 fish . The biggest was 15 1/2 " . He said there was 2 " of clear hard ice and 2" of frozen slush on top of that . I am going Saturday and give it a try . Curt G.

Fished Devil's creek on Saturday and had a ball . Fishing was great , ice was 10" thick with 3 " of snow on top . Fished Mackay today and won't be back soon . 1 fish in five hours . Curt G.

Was up fishing on the 31st at Deep Creek, caught 20 in 4 hours, good fishing! Got slow around noon though

Was up on Saturday the 8th, caught 11 nice rainbows, spent all day on the ice, slow fishing, nice weather! All the fish were from 13"-17".

Just got back yesterday from Deep Creek, only caught 2, lots of slush on top of about 1 ft of ice, edges were crappy.
