Mountain Lion!
«

A few days ago some mountain lions brought down and killed a small mule deer 100yds. from my house. We set up the trail camera and managed to get a picture of a lone lion trying to drag the kill up the hill and away from the house. That same night our dogs when crazy barking so we when down to investigate and we managed to spook 5 lions of the kill. 3 of the cubs were up on the hill waiting while a cub and mom came to get it. After that they returned again and finally dragged the deer up over the hill into a draw where my camera is tonight. Hopefully we get more pictures of these lions.

Wow. Very cool shots, but scary too. Glad they moved it from the house. Do you have little ones? If so watch em close for sure.

I have a 4 year old sister and an 11 year brother. Believe me, my dad and I are ready if they come in the yard.

Great pics! That is pretty cool but scary at the same time. Hopefully it doesn't come down to you having to "take care of the problem". Hopefully they just stay away. I was out in Deadwood about a month ago and was keeping my eye out wanting to see one but didn't figure that I would. Again hope they don't give you much trouble.

Just to let you know I started this topic because I thought it would be cool for everyone to hear about my experience with some lions, not to start the whole lion problem in the hills topic. I live out in the country so I'm asking for some lion interaction. So if you could please respect my wishes and not get into a lion problem debate.

Here is another picture that I captured that night. It was looking at our dogs barking(I think). You can really see the muscles in this picture.

Great photos! Thanks for sharing them. We went to the Black Hills about 17 years ago for vacation and it was one of the best trips we ever took. Didn't see any mountain lions but the area was beautiful.
