Anybody fish Chestermere Lake near Calgary?
« on: Nov 24, 2004, 04:11 PM »
When I was a teenager, I grew up in Calgary, and we used to ice fish Chestermere lake for perch during the winters, catching pails full.  Does anybody still fish this lake in winter?

They have a derby there every year.......I think that the guy who catches  A fish wins. Pretty much anyways, I don't believe that there is much left in there other that pike, the odd one. Anybody else?

I can't answer that one. I went out there once and trying to fish between all the sea-doo's and tourney boats drove me nuts. My buddy caught one little pike. Didn't get onto the Perch though. Would be nice to know if there are any in there, any with good size too, because that is just a hop skip and a jump from my place.
