I grew up in that area. I went to school at that old two room schoolhouse for 1st and 2nd grade.

Fort Atkinson, WI is home, but I fish SE, central and NE WI regularly. We are planning a 7 day ice fishing trip to Lac Vieux Desert in mid January- if anyone has any suggestions as to where to fish LVD or surrounding lakes it would be greatly appreciated.

Aurora WI. here. I'm on the boarder of WI. and mi. right next to Iron Mountain Mi.
Love it here. I have the best of both states to fish here. Anyone looking to come this way and wants to fish, my new clam trap 2 x is always open for fellow ice fishermen. Had a great weekend of fishing a weekago last Friday. But warm spell up here has made ice unsafe. Oh well at least i got 3 days of on ice time so far. And some. nice gills and craps..Even have 2 gills i put in freezer to be mounted.

Sparta, WI and new to the area.

I am looking for some good lakes in the area to fish. Any help would be nice. I know of Lake Onalaska in La Crosse but think that it gets fished a lot. There is a small lake in Sparta that I see some people fishing on but don't know if they have any luck. If you know of any lakes in the area to try out and are willing to share let me know. Don't really care what I fish for just like to get out and catch something this winter. Grew up in Minnesota and fished everyweekend so I am going through withdrawl since I have moved from my local lakes.

Fished DuBay a little in summer and found a few nice bluegills and small walleyes, didn't ice fish for 8 years cuz of work, now bought an Otter flipover shelter, got my auger out, new line on ice rods, getting pumped. Got any pointers for me on where to start fishing Dubay, bait to use, tackle, etc?? Safety?? Places to watch out for?? Thanks
